Volunteer at the Habitat Store
Our Habitat Store relies on dedicated volunteers to keep our shelves stocked and costs down, so we can put more Store proceeds to building affordable homes.
Volunteers help our staff sort and price donations, test equipment, and help keep our store organized and beautiful.
Not only that — they have a great time! Volunteering at the Store is a great way to give back in a flexible, fun, and team-focused environment.
Construction and community cleanup volunteers
No experience? No problem! Whether you’re helping build or repair a home or cleaning up neighborhoods, our construction and community cleanup volunteers make a direct impact. With guidance from staff and skilled team leaders, you’ll help create safer, healthier places to live — one project at a time.
As volunteer opportunities for construction are seasonal and vary with our building schedule, best way to stay in the know about upcoming volunteer opportunities is to sign up for our Helping Hands Club.
Build and beautify neighborhoods while making a hands-on impact
Receive invites to upcoming builds, neighborhood cleanup events, and more ways you can give a “hand-up” in our community.
Youth Volunteers
Young people are an essential part of our mission and bring energy, creativity, and compassion to every volunteer role. Whether you volunteer by yourself, with a friend or in a group, we seek to engage youth where they are at by leaning into their strengths and interests and providing a safe, welcoming space
Lake Chelan Habitat welcomes volunteers 16 or older to volunteer in our Habitat Store (14 or older if volunteering with a parent or guardian). We also welcome both student and community service volunteers, and offer flexible volunteer schedules.
Volunteering with Habitat helps young leaders develop valuable skills while making a real difference in their community.
To volunteer or schedule a youth volunteer event please reach out to our Store Manager or complete the form below.
Lead, support and build with your expertise
Share your skills and experience and help Habitat build better in our community. Your professional skills and life experience can help Habitat
We welcome community members with experience in areas like banking, finance, legal services, marketing, and real estate to serve on our board or committees, helping guide our mission and ensure strong organizational leadership.
We also rely on skilled tradespeople — carpenter’s electricians, plumbers, and contractors — to support construction and repair projects.
Community members who can help with interpretation and translation or lend life experience that helps us communicate with those we serve are always needed.
Whether you’re advising behind the scenes or working on the job site, your expertise helps Habitat better serve the needs of members of our community in need of housing.
Lake Chelan Habitat brings together people of all faiths and people of no faith, to build homes, communities, and hope. Working alongside each other, we help families and individuals build and improve places to call home and achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
At Habitat for Humanity, we embrace a history rooted in creating equity and take our mission seriously by courageously committing to a culture and workplace where all feel safe, welcome, visible, respected, supported, and valued. As an equal opportunity organization, we realize that our success depends upon building an inclusive workforce and volunteer force of diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Habitat seeks to engage volunteers who have a willingness to affirm these principles and values.
Everyone can help make a difference
